Meet Mrs. LewisWelcome to the 2019-2020 school year! My name is Mrs. Lewis and I will be your child's second grade teacher. I am so happy to have the chance to work with such hard working and enthusiastic second graders! This is my fifth year teaching second grade at Brandywine. My journey at Brandywine began when I was a Long Term Substitute Reading Specialist. Before that, I had five wonderful years of teaching experience. Our classroom theme will be, “Wild about Learning.” When you walk into our room on the first day, you will feel like you have been transported to a jungle full of wild animals and adventure. This year is going to be filled with hands-on learning and creative activities everyone will enjoy. I was born and raised in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. I attended Moravian College where I received my Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and my Elementary Education Certification. I completed my Master’s Degree in Classroom Technology at Wilkes University. Technology is something I am very passionate about and I look forward using what I have learned in our classroom. In my spare time enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I recently got a Bernadoodle puppy, named Bear! I feel so lucky to be teaching second grade at Brandywine. My experiences in this district have been amazing and I cannot wait to meet all of my students and their families. I strive to create learning opportunities that are engaging and relevant to my students' interests. My classroom theme should inspire my students to be "wild about learning." This year is going to be filled with hands-on learning and creative activities everyone will enjoy. Find your inner "ROAR" and get ready for a year full of laughter, learning, and fun! |
