Behavior to Roar About
Whole Class System
My behavior management is practical and encourages all students to make good choices throughout the day. When the entire class is following the rules and working well, they can earn jungle gems. When the class fills up their jar, the whole class receives a reward!
Group Behavior System
Many of my activities will involve students to work in groups to collaborate with each other. Students are seated in groups, as well, and are responsible for following the classroom expectations while working in those groups.
If a group is following the rules and is showing good behavior and teamwork, I will ask their group leader to add a point to their card. Once a group earns 15 points, that group will receive a reward.
Individual System
Everyone will start out on “Wild About Learning” each morning. As the day goes on they can move up or down on the clip chart depending on their behavior. “Clip up’s” will be for exceptional behavior and “clip down’s” will be for reminders or warnings.
In order to clip up, I encourage my class to be part of our RAFT, which stands for respectful, accountable, friendly, and thoughtful.
I will be sure to keep you informed of how your kiddo is doing with this system.
